Estimados Collegas,
Mi...DECLARACIÓN DE SOLIDARIDAD

Estimados Collegas,

Sinceramente, Olivia Rees Linares

STATEMENT OF SOLIDARITY

Dear comrades:
My name is Olivia Rees Linares and I am a member of the Socialist Party of England & Wales. Until recently, I was a student in fine art at Cardiff Metropolitan University here in Cardiff, Wales.

In Britain, the Conservative government have tripled tuition fees to £9,000 per year (1.9 million old pesetas). Meanwhile, education cutbacks by the Labour government in Wales (equivalent to your PSOE) have meant the closure of many fine arts programmes at universities.

I am an activist in the Youth Fight for Jobs campaign. In Britain, we demand:
Free education is a right; there should be no tuition fees and maintenance grants, not loans, for all students
Increase in the minimum wage to £8/hour, with no exceptions
A state-funded programme to create good jobs for Britain's 1 million unemployed youth

We work not only within schools but in trade unions and among the unemployed.

I offer you full support for your occupation and I hope to build international links across Europe and the world with all students and workers fighting against austerity and the cuts.

Yours sincerely,
